Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, is a popular cosmetic procedure involving surgery to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. Usually sought by patients with loose tissue after pregnancy or individuals with sagging skin following major weight loss, the procedure creates a firmer, flatter, redefined stomach.

Despite a healthy diet and exercise, excess fat, loose skin and stretches of flesh around the bottom of the stomach can be very difficult, sometimes impossible, to remedy naturally. A tummy tuck provides a very effective solution in these situations and the results can be profound, boosting self-esteem and confidence, helping people feel comfortable in their own skin once again.

It is often performed at the same time as liposuction and breast augmentation as part of a Mummy Makeover package.
