+ Does Blepharoplasty Hurt?
The procedure is performed with local anesthetic cream, which is applied an hour before the procedure. Sometimes it is supplemented with a local anaesthetic injection. Post-procedure swelling is common lasting for up to three to four days. Painkillers and antihistamine are recommended to reduce post-procedural discomfort and pain.

What Does Non Surgical Blepharoplasty Involve?
PlexR® uses plasma beam technology to reduce excess skin on the upper or lower eyelids and tighten the skin area around the eyes, without damaging the surrounding or deeper tissue layers. The procedure is carried out using a local anaesthetic cream and is usually completed within 30 minutes.
How Long Does It Take?
Approximately 30 minutes.
How Will I Feel Afterwards?
Post-procedure swelling is common. You are advised to take painkillers and sometimes antihistamine to minimise discomfort and swelling. You are also advised to use foundation by Oxygenetix. This is applied over the are of the procedure for six weeks.
How Long Will I Be In Hospital?
The procedure is performed in the aesthetic clinic and takes approximately 30 minutes. You are given some refreshment before going home. A follow-up appointment is made for approximately two weeks later.
Are There Any Side Effects To The Procedure?
Post-procedural eyelid swelling is common.
POST PROCEDURE, RECOVERY & THE FUTURE
Will I See The Surgeon Again After The Procedure?
You are seen again approximately two weeks later. Further follow-ups are arranged accordingly.
Do I Need To Take Time Off Work?
The procedure doesnu2019t require time off work. However, it is advised to have it done at the end of the week, which allows the weekend for any swelling to subside.
How Long Will It Take To Recover?
Most of the swelling subsides in three to four days, along with any discomfort. Following the procedure a brown scab will form over the area treated, this falls off in approximately seven days. You are advised to keep using foundation over the area for at least six weeks.
When Can I Wear Makeup Again?
There is no restriction on the use of makeup.
