Abdominoplasty and VASER liposuction

Page Contents

Is a procedure which removes the excess loose tissue/skin on the abdominal wall, most commonly in the lower part. Multipara women are the most common group of people seeking this procedure. Abdominoplasty is usually combined with liposuction. Second commonest group is post-weight reduction surgery, e.g. gastric band, gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, etc. Mr Ahmad preferred mode of liposuction is with the help of VASER device.

Types of Abdominoplasties:

There are several types of abdominoplasties intended to suit the customer needs. Following is the brief description of various abdominoplasties:

Standard abdominoplasty: This involves removing all the lower abdominal loose/excess tissue (Apron/Panniculus ) extending between umbilicus (belly button) to pubic hair line. This is suitable for majority of the patients seeking abdominoplasty.
Fleur-de-lys: This kind of abdominoplasty involves removing loose/excess tissue/fat/skin from the upper and lower abdomen. Usually suitable after massive weight reduction (post bariatric surgery. Resultant scar runs in the midline and also at the bikini line.
Modified Flour-de-lys: Involves raving loose/excess tissue mainly from the lower abdomen in both directions, i.e vertically and horizontally giving bikini line scar and small vertical scar from the pubis to the umbilicus (belly button).
Modified abdominoplasty: This involves removing excess lower abdominal tissue. Suitable for individuals who do not have enough loose tissue in the lower abdomen to perform full abdominoplasty. This either can be done simply by removing the tissue below the level of umbilicus or can be done with some advance techniques, sliding technique or extended modified technique. These both techniques very comprehensively effect the upper abdominal tissue slackness as well.
Belt Lipolectomy: This is the most advance and extensive abdominoplasty and involves removing excess/loose tissue from the lower tummy and the lower back. This is suitable for young customers after massive weight loss secondary to bariatric surgery.
